Unlike the architectural tradition that uses to relate to different disciplines in order to produce discourses and objects, we envision architecture as an exporting discipline. We use its ability for organizing information in a visual way in order to support other disciplines in synthesizing complex data.
In this case we considered the political history and the history of the social organization of several nations. Contrary to the popular perception, USA is the oldest nation that exists: its political system, a democracy, has been existing since more than two centuries without suffering any profound changes.
In the diagram political systems are presented as a code easy to understand, where it is possible to see the changes suffered by a country through its history.
The USA’s Constitution is previous to assumed moral milestones such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). Some of the USA’s lags in relation with the rest of the world are caused by the age of its “operative system”.
