Urban Space Station (USS), a project by Angel Borrego Cubero and Natalie Jeremijenko is part of the exhibition “HINCHABLES, La Galería. Arquitectura, Arte y Diseño español”, an eclectic collection of projects of different scales, with different objectives, made from different parts of the world by Spanish authors throughout the 21st century with a common denominator: The use of air as a structural key, theme and generating element. The exhibition opens on November 16, at the Architecture Centre Las Arquerías de los Nuevos Ministerios in Madrid and has been curated by Carmen Blasco, Carmelo Rodríguez Cedillo, Ángela Gayol, ESPACIO LANUBE, Luis de LaMadrid. A catalog edited by Con Arquitectura, accompanies the exhibition.

News: Exposición Vigilada in show at CDAN, in Huesca
Starting today, November 2, 2017 through March 4, 2018, the video installation `Exposición Vigilada´ (Surveilled Exhibition) by Ángel Borrego Cubero can be seen at Centro de Arte y Naturaleza – CDAN (National Museum of Art and Nature), in Huesca. Here you can listen to Ángel developing about his video art work.
News: In show within the exhibition Premios COAM 2005 / 2016
In 2014 we won the 1st COAM Prize for The Competition and in 2015 we won the COAM Prize with Special Mention by Factoría Cultural Madrid. The COAM Awards are given annually by the Architects Association from Madrid and are among the most important architecture awards in Spain. Thanks to these two awards, we now participate in the exhibition and catalog “COAM Award for Contemporary Architecture of Madrid 2005 – 2016”. It opens tomorrow, September 29, 13: 30h, at the COAM in Madrid with the presence of Yves Saint-Geours, Ambassador of France in Spain, Manuela Carmena, Mayor of Madrid, Jose Maria Ezquiaga, Dean of the COAM, Edgar Gonzalez, Curator of the exhibition.

News: 4th Prize at competition Espacio Mahou
The entry “Mensaje en una botella” (Message in a bottle) by Office for Strategic Spaces won the 4th Prize in the competition for the upcoming Espacio Mahou, organized by Mahou San Miguel with the collaboration of the Architects’ Association from Madrid (COAM). Out of 160 entries, 5 offices only were selected as finalists to go to the second stage of the competition, Office for Strategic Spaces – OSS being one of the five.

News: Nomination at the European Architecture Prize Mies van der Rohe
The Cultural Factory Matadero Madrid, whose design and construction have been achieved by Angel Borrego Cubero along with his Office for Strategic Spaces, was nominated to the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe 2015.

News: Director of workshop at TEC Monterrey
Next week (September 22nd – 26th 2014) we are going to take part at the Innovative Week of the TEC Monterrey – Campus Guadalajara, in Mexico. Angel Borrego Cubero will lead the Taller Vertical “@Campus2030” organized by the School of Architecture. On this occasion there will be a private screening of “The Competition” addressed to the TEC’s students.

Angel Borrego Cubero was awarded the 1st Prize COAM’14 (Madrid Architects Association) for his documentary “The Competition”: “(..)
